it was the Year of the Fulcrum Pivot
his dance moves were blocks of rust
she stepped on his toes till feet flowed
they sailed off fit to bust

he wasn't big on games of chance
cautiously he threw down on black
she bet on red, she lit up his head
he pushed in his entire stack

in a mouth that's too proud to pray
